👑 Once A Queen 👑

A print born of wonder — designed just for Super Cute Dresses, inspired by a single coffee cup shared by a community member. I also had seen that very cup just days before and had fallen instantly in love. Its elegant, storybook pattern stirred something timeless, and from that spark, Once a Queen came to life. 🙌

The name Once a Queen echoes the unshakable royal titles bestowed upon the Pevensie siblings — “𝑶𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑵𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒂, 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏.” 👑

Yet this royalty points to something far greater than a storybook throne — to the everlasting kingdom of the true High King. In Christ, we are named and known, crowned not with fading splendor but with eternal belonging. This name whispers of the courage He calls forth, of the steadfast light that no darkness can overcome, and of the great and glorious story He is writing — one that stretches beyond the lamppost, beyond the wardrobe, into eternity itself. 🕯

With its intricate blossom-like flickering-flame motifs and mix of jewel and earthy tones, this carries the longing glimmer of the distant lamppost, the enchantment of a world beckoning with adventure, and the regal echo of a land where ordinary things awaken. It’s just the kind of dress Lucy Pevensie herself might have worn to her coronation in Cair Paravel — valiant, radiant, and elegantly royal. 🤌

Once a Queen also debuts something entirely new for SCD: our first-ever nursing dress with a zipper design. The zipper pull is flawlessly hidden within the waistband, making it beautifully functional while remaining entirely discreet. 👏

Once a Queen is more than a dress — it’s a woven reminder of the Kingdom that cannot be shaken. It calls you to lift your head, to walk in light, and to remember who you are. 🌟

“𝑶𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑵𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒂, 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏. 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒎. 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝑫𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒗𝒆.”

📜 Introducing the Chronicle Gown

With a richness of essence, Chronicle calls to mind illuminated manuscripts, medieval halls, and timeless stories preserved in ink and vellum. It perfectly reflects the gown’s historical silhouette — the structured square neckline, wide defined waistband, and flowing full skirt — as if it belongs within the pages of a legendary tale. Regal, memorable, and literary. 📚

Step into a story that feels centuries deep. The Chronicle Gown is a breathtaking ode to medieval grace and timeless femininity. 💞
With its neckline delicately framed by lace, a fitted bodice that shapes with quiet strength, and a sweeping skirt that moves like a turning page, this gown embodies the beauty of heroines long remembered. 🌟
The long fitted sleeves complete the silhouette with understated refinement.
Whether worn for a festive gathering, a woodland stroll, or simply to weave a little history into your everyday, Chronicle transforms any moment into a living tale. 🪄

This is a gown that doesn’t just dress you — it places you in a chapter all your own. ✨️

Good book, this isn't my favorite (Wretched of the ...
Format: Kindle
Good book, this isn't my favorite (Wretched of the Earth continues to be) but it gives a good account of the effects of colonialism on people's psyche. Fanon masterfully demonstrates how violence is practiced on the minds and bodies of those on the receiving end of colonialism. He digs deep into how the ideology of whiteness as 'pure' and 'good' are, for one, deeply flawed, but more importantly, these false beliefs are incredibly damaging to humanity as a whole. Although it's a good book, I found some serious flaws with some of his arguments but I still think it was worth the read.

Black Nationalism
Format: Paperback
This is and was a great book. Even though he discussed the effects of racism in regards to his native land of Martinique we Mr. Fanon has to say still resounds in today's so-called PC world. I do wish he had lived long enough to see Barack Obama elected President of the United States. I would have loved to hear his take on that. The only aspect I found missing from this book is his opinion on Black American ex-patriots living in France. James Baldwin, Richard Wright, Josephine Baker.... Did these African-Americans living in Paris not realize the effect of colonolism on all Africans in the Diaspora?, or were they treated as "Honorary Whites" in France. I truly wish Frantz Fanon had explored that entire subject.

This was a graduate thesis!
Format: Paperback
Imagine how useful academia could be if this kind of writing was accepted at the doctoral level these days! Here is a concise analysis of the problem with plausible solutions. Not what seriously more than 99% of all academic writing in sociology, literature, the art, comparative literature, and anthropology hold as a gold standard today; today you must obfuscate your pointless observations with academic jargon, citation and reference to others who have made no real observations, and fighting racism by supporting a new way of talking in order to maintain the existing inequitable systems.
